Doc’s Orzo with Broccoli
Try this real Italian recipe as served up al dente. It’s delicious with great texture – it’s the real thing!
Ingredients
- Broccoli
- CardioMender’s High Protein Orzo
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Parmesan cheese
- Salt & Pepper
- Optional topper our Zero-Net-Carb Carb Breadcrumbs
Directions
Cut the broccoli into about 2 inch pieces, including both the flowers and stems.
Cook the broccoli in water with a little salt for 20 minutes.
Add the orzo to the same boiling water with the broccoli and cook for 8-9 minutes.
Drain the broccoli and pasta together.
Toss with the olive oil and parmesan cheese.
Add pepper to taste. The water was salted, but if you need additional salt, add now to taste.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
