Have you ever been challenged to prepare a meal or snack on the spur of the moment, using foods that are on hand in your cupboard or refrigerator? It’s hard to find recipes unless they’re organized well. That is why we updated our Healthy Recipes section on our website. Now, you can view a list of recipes by specific ingredients. You can use our online healthy recipe finder, RECIPES INDEXED BY INGREDIENT, to help you select a recipe that includes a specific food that you have on hand or that you can easily purchase at the supermarket. Alternatively, you can simply view the photos of a myriad of selections and click on the photo that appeals to you to get the recipe; then plan to make it in the future.

This is especially helpful for patients who are just beginning our program. Finding tasty and healthy recipes that contain lean proteins, very lean proteins, or low glycemic carbs is not easy unless you have a convenient resource like this. Use this tool to select the appropriate protein and carbohydrate selections, while avoiding those foods that are not a part of your nutritional plan.
