Ahi Tuna Recipe with Spinach

Ingredients

  • Fresh Ahi Tuna
  • Fresh Lemon / Lime
  • Sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds – optional
  • Wasabi Sauce (I use Gold’s available at Publix)
  • Light Soy Sauce
  • Fresh spinach
  • Fresh garlic cloves
  • Olive oil

Directions

TUNA:

  1. Squeeze lemon/lime onto tuna portions, all at room temperature.
  2. Sprinkle LIGHTLY with soy sauce (gingerly allowed for this dish).
  3. Add sesame oil, top and bottom.
  4. Add wasabi sauce, top and bottom.
  5. Sprinkle with optional sesame seeds.
  6. Preheat cast iron skillet until VERY hot.
  7. Sear both sides according to preference.
  8. Slice and eat with additional wasabi and ginger.

SPINACH:

  1. Smash and chop garlic cloves.
  2. Heat olive oil and sauté garlic until browned.
  3. Add washed spinach and toss until done.
  4. Add salt, pepper and red pepper flakes to taste.
