HCG Weight-Loss Products are Fraudulent, FDA Says
By Nanci Hellmich, USA TODAY January 23, 2011
A popular type of weight-loss products, heavily promoted on the Internet, is fraudulent and illegal, Food and Drug Administration officials say.
Studies show people who use a weight loss portal have improved weight loss. Recently we introduced our own patient portal, which is integrated into our electronic health records (EHR).
Pieter Cohen, M.D., of the Cambridge Health Alliance at Harvard Medical School debunks some of the common HCG claims:
Although you will lose weight on the diet, you won’t keep it off.
Ask us if CardioMender’s Edge, a unique blend of plant sterols and other natural plant ingredients, is right for you!
SOMETHING HAS CHANGED! Today obesity is replacing starvation as a leading health crisis.
I started CardioMender, MD Weight Loss Specialists to help people take back control of their health and reverse their disease. Last week was a particularly gratifying one.
As always this time of year, many of our patients returned from going on a cruise or vacation. I heard story after story of those who were thrilled because they lost weight. This stands in stark contrast to the average American who goes on a 1-week cruise and gains 7-10 pounds! These results are extremely gratifying because we emphasize to all of our patients, in order to lose the weight and keep it off, “you’ve got to live it!”TM
