Rider Rivera – Wellness Support Coach
Rider is a Medical Doctor, born in Puerto Plata, a province located at the northern part of Dominican Republic. He moved to Santo Domingo at the age of 17 to embark on a career in medicine, graduating 5 and a half years later with honors from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo. At the moment Rider is in the process of preparing and polishing his knowledge and skills to obtain his practice licensure and be able to put them in service within the US healthcare system. One of his aspirations is to get the opportunity to enter a residency program and excel in the field of internal medicine.
Rider was in charge of a Primary Care Center in a rural community where he was able to work directly with the people and help improve not only their overall health, but their knowledge of certain conditions that affected the community. He did this through monthly organized lectures and conferences.
For Rider, it’s a real pleasure to be able to work and develop himself in the preventive arm of medicine here at CardioMender, MD, because being able to help a patient help himself and teach him how take care of himself is medicine.
One of his favorite quotations of all time defines Rider’s attitude and philosophy of life: “The difficult we do immediately. The impossible takes a little longer.” – Motto of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during World War II.
