Azzy Nasirudin – Wellness Support Coach
Azzy is a South Florida native who attended college right here in South Florida at Keiser University. He is currently working on completing his masters as a Physician Assistant. Having worked in a variety of medical fields over the last seven years, he has gained knowledge in areas including Pediatrics, Cardiology and Nutrition. Azzy also works at a local South Florida hospital, where he is part of the cardiac team there.
Azzy loves to be able to make people feel good and feel good about themselves.
Traveling is a big part of Azzy’s life, and so are his animals.
Danell Tucker – Wellness Support Coach
Danell has worked in Pharmaceutical Research as a Medical Research Associate and at a Native American Health Center as a Medical Laboratory Technician, where she worked closely with the Diabetes Prevention Program. Learning firsthand about the Diabetes epidemic fueled her passion for healthcare and reinforced the importance of a balanced lifestyle with proper nutrition and exercise.
Danell is a Nationally Certified Clinical Medical Assistant through NAHP/NHA and a Certified Phlebotomist through ASCP.
Knowledge is key. Danell feels grateful to have the opportunity to help our patients at CardioMender, MD overcome weight loss challenges and to teach our patients how to live and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Zachary Abecassis – Patient Care Specialist
Zach was born in Hollywood, Florida. He loves to help people and has a strong interest in business. To pursue this interest, Zach is currently going to Broward College for his AA but ultimately hopes to get his Masters in Business Administation.
Working at CardioMender, MD Weight Loss Specialists allows Zach to combine his passions, helping people and business. He welcomes you to come on in and engage him!
Moises Hernandez – Wellness Support Coach
Originally from Cuba, Moises was educated in Florida and has worked in the medical field for over 15 years. His experience is in renal care, HIV care, mental health and elderly care.
Moises believes that his experience has taught him the importance of healthy weight and working at CardioMender is giving him an opportunity to learn more and continue to help others.
Brittany Gooden – Patient Care Specialist
Brittany grew up in Miami, Florida then got her Medical Assistant license in 2011 after attending school at Miami Central and training at ATI College of Health. She came to CardioMender, MD to learn the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and broaden her experience in medical hospitality.
Brittany loves helping others and in her spare time she likes to play on the trampoline with her two young daughters.
Zulmary Cruz – Patient Care Specialist
Zulmary was born in Rochester, New York and raised in Buffalo, New York. At 18, she decided to make the big move to Florida in order to pursue her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at Florida Atlantic University.
She is currently the President of the FAU Boxing Club, and hopes to soon graduate with her BSN. Long range goals include working in the lobbying field to push healthcare legislation to the forefront.
Hilda Zamora – Wellness Support Coach
Hilda is from Venezuela, where she studied for four years at the Medical School at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She put her studies on hold to be a full-time mom to five children. After they grew up, Hilda decided to continue in the medical field. She studied at Sanford Brown Institute to become a Medical Assistant and a Cardiovascular Sonographer, and graduated with honors.
Hilda is a Certified Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist and Registered Cardiac Sonographer. She has worked at Holy Cross Hospital Medical Group in an Internal Medicine practice, later in a Cardiology office in Tamarac, and now here at CardioMender, MD Weight Loss Specialists.
Hilda believes in preventive medicine and that a “good” lifestyle is the key to a healthy life.
